The Forum on Contemporary Europe, at Stanford University's Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies, is pleased to announce the inauguration of the Anna Lindh Fellowship for the study of Scandinavia, the Baltic region and northern Europe's role in trans-Atlantic relations. CDDRL Hewlett Predoctoral and Postdoctoral Fellowships
CDDRL Fellowship for Graduate Students, Postdoctoral Scholars

The Center welcomes applications from pre-doctoral students at the write-up stage and from post-doctoral scholars working in any of the four program areas of democracy, development, evaluating the efficacy of democracy promotion around the world, and rule of law. Applicants working at the intersection of two or more of these issue areas will receive preferential consideration.

CHP/PCOR Fellowship for Postdoctoral Scholars

Stanford University's Health Care Research and Health Policy Fellowship offers medical students and postdoctoral trainees advanced preparation for a career in health care research. The fellowship program is supported by a National Research Service Award training grant from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ).

Northeast Asian History Fellowship
Shorenstein APARC Fellowship for Postdoctoral Scholars

The Walter H. Shorenstein Asia-Pacific Research Center (Shorenstein APARC) in the Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies at Stanford University announces its 2009-2010 Northeast Asian History Fellowship. Made possible through the generosity of the Northeast Asian History Foundation, the fellowship supports a scholar to conduct research and writing on a historical subject that has an impact on modern and contemporary Northeast Asia. The fellow helps deepen the center's current research on historical issues and on how historical memory has shaped current relations in Northeast Asia.

The Walter H. Shorenstein Asia-Pacific Research Center in the Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies announces its Walter H. Shorenstein Fellowship for the 2009-2010 academic year. Made possible through the generosity of Walter H. Shorenstein, awards will be made to two junior scholars (recent Ph.D.s must have degree conferral by August 30, 2009) for research and writing on Asia.

The Special Fellowship Program in Advanced Geriatrics (SFPAG), sponsored by the Veterans Affairs Palo Alto Health Care System, is a two-year program training program to develop leadership in geriatrics that includes significant research time, as well as clinical and leadership development activities.
